This guide applies when your delivery includes administrator access to your own installation. Standard managed-connection users work inside their AI application and should use the customer quick start.
Find the main areas#
| Area | What you use it for |
|---|---|
| Dashboard and servers | Inspect installation activity and open individual MCP servers. |
| Server tools | Define, import, edit and test the operations exposed by a server. |
| Authentication and connections | Configure inbound client access and separate upstream service authorisation. |
| Resources and prompts | Provide readable context and reusable prompt templates where supported. |
| Templates | Start a supported connector or API configuration from a prepared definition. |
| Inspector and chat playground | Test defined operations and model-driven tool selection. |
| Gateway | Publish a deliberately selected collection of servers through one endpoint. |
| Analytics and logs | Investigate call volume, errors, timing and retained call records. |
| Settings | Review operating limits, retention, privacy options, branding, activation and updates. |
Names and visibility depend on the installed build, enabled add-ons and administrator permissions. The presence of a menu does not prove a particular integration is connected.
Inspect a server first#
Open the intended server and confirm its name, endpoint, status, tool list and account scope before editing. Keep a configuration record that is sufficient to undo your change without exporting credentials into an ordinary document.
An active server can still contain a tool with an expired upstream authorisation or an unsupported operation. Verify the actual task rather than relying on a status badge.
Administration is broader than connection access#
Do not give an unrelated customer access to a shared installation's administration console as a way to onboard them. Use the client-specific connection or a separate customer-owned installation. The documented managed isolation tests concern the assigned connection path, not a general multi-tenant dashboard product.
